The Jazz Room lands at Hobart Town Hall next July, an hour-long set built around early New Orleans jazz. Expect the standards you'd know — When The Saints Go Marching In, On the Sunny Side of the Street, Hello Dolly — plus room for the improvisation that keeps this stuff honest.

There's a bar for a cocktail before you settle in. Seating is theatre-style and allocated first-come within each zone, so turning up early pays off. Tickets from $34.40.
