About this event

The Jazz Harbingers head to Paris Cat for a night built around Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers — the hard-bop catalogue that shaped postwar jazz.

Worth flagging: this is a tribute outfit, not the originals. The Melbourne band works through the Messengers' songbook rather than fronting their own material.

Paris Cat is the right room for it — a tight basement on Goldie Place where the horns carry. Doors and curfew per the venue.
