The Doric String Quartet bring a chamber programme to the Melbourne Recital Centre in Southbank, joined by clarinettist Lloyd Van't Hoff.

At the centre is Thomas Adès' Alchymia, a major work for string quartet that draws on the music of Shakespearean England while carving out something of its own. It's well regarded among recent chamber writing.
