About this event

Candlelight brings its by-candles string sessions to the James Fairfax Theatre inside the National Gallery of Australia, a room that doesn't usually host this sort of thing.

The programme runs through Joe Hisaishi's Studio Ghibli catalogue, from the Totoro main theme and Kiki's Delivery Service to Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, played by the Phoenix Collective String Quartet across a 65-minute set.

Worth knowing: this is a tribute concert, not affiliated with Hisaishi, and he isn't performing. Seating is assigned first come, first served within each zone.
