About this event

Two local acts share the bill at The Wheaty on 8 July, both making new music on Kaurna land.

This is Video Essay's first live show, with DIY and lo-fi leanings — their album Dance Craze XL is out on the usual streaming platforms. Overdue Fiction have been at it since 2022, working a sound built on unusual chord progressions and a gloomier mood, off the back of their single Insomnia. They'll play a mellow set without the full lineup this time.

Seventeen bucks to catch a debut on Thebarton's side of town.
