Though it just hit spring, rug up as it won’t be long until ‘The Night is Lonely'...The Mods launch their newest single, 'The Night is Lonely', at The Retreat Hotel Brunswick with support from Salvation Jane and Jib. Gracing the stage first with wistful songwriting and close harmonies are Salvation Jane, local Naarm contemporary-folk duo.jib will then be joined by a crew of his friends on harmonies, horns, strings and percussion, who will elevate his folky tunes into a grandiose and ethereal performance. Longtime fans of The Mods know that the band's music is truly genre-defying, effortlessly blending jazz, rock and folk to ensure there is a little something for everyone. This gig is carving out extra space for folky tunes blessed with hypnotic three-part-harmonies, so if you have been feeling deprived of your favourite ethereal Mods tunes, this is the gig for you.
