Brisbane alternative metal outfit The Local Romance are rapidly becoming one of the city's most compelling new heavy acts, fusing soaring melodic hooks with crushing riffs, atmospheric soundscapes, and lyrics that cut straight to the bone. Their music lives in the tension between vulnerability and brutality, where raw emotion meets relentless energy.In 2026, the band steps fully into their own vulnerability with the release of their debut EP, The Darkest Parts of Me, an exploration of inner conflict, fractured identity, and they shape us.
