Madder Lake and Spectrum were lynchpins of Australia's 1970s rock circuit. Madder Lake opened Sunbury '73 to a strong crowd and went on to back the Rolling Stones that year, becoming Mushroom Records' first gold-record act. Spectrum, led by Mike Rudd, brought progressive rock credibility — their hit 'I'll Be Gone' crossed over to become an anthem, later covered by everyone from John Williamson to Manfred Mann's Earth Band. This is a chance to catch two acts that defined the era.
