About this event

Canberra ensemble SUMMIT marks 50 years since Astor Piazzolla and Gerry Mulligan's landmark 1974 Milan session—a collision of tango and jazz that rewired both traditions. This programme revisits that historic meeting and its ripples through contemporary improvisation, drawing on arrangements that honour both composers' restless approach to genre.
