About this event

Smithsonian Starstruck is a virtual reality experience that puts you inside the cosmos rather than just watching it. Launching at Level 1, 206 Bourke Street, the 40-minute journey starts at the Smithsonian's Whipple Observatory and takes you through galaxies, solar flares 30 times larger than Earth, exoplanets with erupting volcanoes, and to the edge of a supermassive black hole. Built with the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, it blends actual astronomical data with immersive 3D technology. Sessions run about an hour total (arrive 15 minutes early for waiver and gear).
