About this event

Jet Black Cat Music presents Pachyman (PR) on his longest trip out to Aus yet! This time around we’re bringing the dance party to some different venues. Pachy will be coming all the way from LA, bringing his infectious rhythms to play some of the old, some of the new and may even drop a few unreleased tracks along the way.Pachyman (Pachy García) is a Puerto Rico-born, Los Angeles-based producer and musician working in the lineage of dub reggae. Drawing from vintage production techniques and the methodologies of genre masters like King Tubby and The Scientist, Pachyman constructs expansive soundscapes that showcase an intuitive understanding of repetition, space, and sonic architecture.Originally trained in reggae and experimental rock bands in Puerto Rico, Pachyman's artistic evolution reflects a diverse musical palette spanning synth-pop, dub techno, vaporwave, chillwave, soul-jazz, Kosmische musik, and krautrock. His work synthesizes these influences while remaining rooted in dub reg
