About this event

What a great live gig to see in 2027 with two absolute legends of the Victorian pub music scene! Dean & Carruthers have been playing live music together for nearly 40 years - and set the template for what a duo can achieve in creating a party atmosphere and getting people up and dancing!Terry Dean (oringinal frontman of the legendary Oz band Bluestone) & Gary Carruthers (who has played with artists such as The Flood, Kasey Chambers, Troy Cassar-Daley) got together in 1984, embarking on a partnership that would reshape the expectations of what a two-man band could achieve. Relying strictly on raw instrumentation and a natural, brother-like vocal blend, the duo famously created a massive sound that uncannily mimicked a full band without ever using pre-recorded backing tracks, with their pub residencies during the 80s and 90s becoming legendary throughout Melbourne, particularly their packed-out New Boundary Hotel residency which ran every Saturday night from 1985-1994.After such a wonde
