Midwinter at Bar Open, and the bill leans hard into goth, gothic rock and post-punk. Tasmania's Mankind make the trip over, a duo of Dan on bass and TJ on percussion working big beats, melodic bass and dark lyrics into a hypnotic gothic rock sound.

They're fresh off co-headlining the MONA stage with Blood In the Champagne at Dark Mofo 2026, and the two share this Fitzroy room again here. Blood In the Champagne bring the dark wave end of things, with One Whole Hand rounding out the night on industrial, theatrical edge. Seventeen bucks at the door.
