Joining the party is a genre bending local line-up acknowledging the NYC band's diverse and widespread influence across music today.Helmet will welcome visceral lo fi Melbourne punks Civic, Wollongong post hardcore duo Chimers, the dangerous punk rock of Lothario, cerebral heavy Castlemaine duo DEAD and new Naarm rising lights Snake Thighs, for an unforgettable afternoon at The Northcote Theatre.When Helmet released the Betty album in 1994 it announced the new age of heavy alternative music. The band's hard hitting combination of precision riffs and pure punk power opened the door on the possibilities of cross pollination and genre exploration.
