About this event

Every Friday night from 9pm, Bar Open's front bar becomes a vinyl safari. Jon, SaySo and Dr Graham take turns curating — think Afro jazz, 70s funk, Kraut rock, spiritual jazz, pre-80s fusion and West African deep cuts from Nigeria, Guinea, Senegal and Mali. Local contemporary acts fill the gaps. The bill spans Salif Keita to Can, Ibrahim Maalouf to Earthless, with grooves and virtuosic solos doing the rounds.
