The Doric String Quartet take the Adelaide Town Hall stage with clarinettist Lloyd Van't Hoff for a programme built around Thomas Ades' Alchymia.

It's a major chamber work for string quartet, drawing on the music of Shakespearean England while carving out its own voice. Ades' piece has earned plenty of acclaim among the contemporary chamber crowd.
