Chief Executive Officer take shoegaze somewhere a bit different — less wall-of-fuzz, more bass-forward push. The Melbourne outfit lean on inventive drumming, layered guitars and lead-like bass lines, with frontwoman Hayley threading hook-driven choruses through the band's restraint.
