About this event

Candlelight brings a string quartet to Saint Monica's Cathedral in Cairns City, playing the Studio Ghibli catalogue Joe Hisaishi built his name on. Worth being clear up front: this is a tribute programme performed by Strings of the North, not Hisaishi himself, and it isn't affiliated with the composer.

The hour-long set runs through the familiar ones — Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle — under candlelight in a room that suits it.

Doors 30 minutes before, and late arrivals miss out, so leave time.
