Big Black Maria headline a sprawling Sunday arvo bill at the Retreat that swings from lush shoegaze to high-energy punk. Since their debut in May, the headliners have built a rep for brooding, experimental work. Support spans Signal Chain (whose debut LP 'Often Spring' landed last November and packs folk-to-fuzzy-rocker range), BB Sabina's kaleidoscopic shoegaze-post-rock-electronica blend, and Mirror Clippers. Doors open early; expect a loud, gloomy few hours.
