Brisbane Brass takes over The Atrium at UQ's city campus on a Sunday afternoon, tucked into the free Brisbane Open House programme. Conductor Elena Katahanas leads the band through popular favourites — marches, movie tunes and the sort of melodic brass that suits a wander through the CBD's architecture.

It's a light, easygoing set on the corner of Creek and Queen, and it won't cost you a cent. Good excuse to poke around a building you'd usually walk past, then settle in for the music.
