About this event

Anastasia, the stage musical drawn from the animated films, makes its first run in Australia at the Sydney Lyric in Pyrmont. It comes from the team behind Ragtime, with book by Terrence McNally and songs by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, directed by Darko Tresnjak.

The story tracks Anya from the last days of Imperial Russia to 1920s Paris, chasing the truth about her past with a conman and an ex-aristocrat in tow, and an army officer on her trail.

Expect the familiar numbers: Journey to the Past and Once Upon a December. Running time is roughly two and a half hours with a 20-minute interval.
