About this song
- I wrote this for everyone else that has gone through what I have mentally, whether it be yourself having gone through it, or someone you know. I didn’t really write this for myself at all, it is really just a letter to everyone that has felt really, inexplicably depressed, just trying to put my point across (running theme, right?) that it’s not worth it… It’s better to try and push through it, even if it seems absolutely impossible, and believe me, I have been there, and thought that. This is actually missing the chorus lyrics, which Ahren wrote half of. I didn’t write the part “we won’t give up those memories, we won’t go near those cemeteries…” but it was a fitting addition. - Joel Birch .
