"Take a Walk" is a song about coming to America filled with hopes and dreams. It tells a story of a young man struggling alone to make money so that he can bring his wife over to the United States. He is successful and is able to bring along his family too, who then make their own homes along the East Coast. His mother-in-law comes to visit and never leaves. Later in his life, heartbreak happens when he finds out that due to bad investments he has no retirement funds and is deeply in debt. He finds solace in being alone and taking walks. Michael Angelakos says "Take a Walk" will be the first track of their July 24 release, Gossamer. Gossamer will be released by Columbia Records .
