- "Sure Thing" is a song by singer/songwriter Miguel, produced by Happy Perez, It was first posted onto YouTube & MySpace in 2007. It was later reworked and released as the second single to his debut album, All I Want Is You on November 26, 2010. The R&B song features neo-soul influences, and had been noted for its similarities to the work of singer Jon B. Sure Thing peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart and on it's original run peaked at #36 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the Spring of 2011. It was at that point his most successful song until "Adorn" the year later in 2012. As of July 2013, the song had sold 1,106,000 copies in the United States. In 2023, the song experienced an international resurgence in streaming, fueled by virality on social media app TikTok, causing the song to re-enter global charts, and it reached new peaks in several countries, including the United Kingdom, where it reached #4, becoming Miguel's first top 10 hit in the region. Australia, and Switzerland, among others. Furthermore, it re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 the week of January 21, 2023 and was reissued to US radio on February 28, 2023, where it later out-peaked its original peak on the Hot 100, reaching #11 for 2 weeks between June & July 2023, becoming Miguel's highest charting song on the chart, surpassing "Adorn" which reached #17 in 2012. It went on to spend more than 50 total weeks on the chart and also became his first #1 hit on the US Pop Airplay chart, it is 3× Platinum on the RIAA as of 2026. .
