About this song
- Introducing his second studio album with an introspective track produced by Earl Sweatshirt (who produced a good portion of the tracks featured on "Watching Movies with The Sound Off"), Mac Miller directly addresses his issues with hedonism and his perception of a higher power. Paradoxical whilst addressing his inability to commit to action, “The Star Room” sets the tone for the rest of the album. Ironically enough, the first track featured on this LP was the final one to be accompanied by a music video. Marking the introduction of Mac Miller’s horror-core alter-ego; Delusional Thomas, this single articulated a level of internal conflict beyond that of anything featured within the "Macadelic" mix-tape. .
