About this song
- ”The Christmas Waltz” is Laufey's first release offered since her debut studio album, ”Everything I Know About Love”, which was released in August 2022 and the deluxe re-release in October 2022. On the song, Laufey has shared: “’The Christmas Waltz’ perfectly captures the essence of Christmas for me. My arrangement is inspired by Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker with a waltzy texture, layers of cello and sleigh bells. The song was recorded with a children’s choir to truly capture the childlike happiness that the holidays bring!” .
