About this song
- “Girl, Get Up” is a 2025 single by American rapper Doechii featuring American singer-songwriter SZA, released as a surprise release on December 29, 2025 through Top Dawg Entertainment and Capitol Records. The song blends hip-hop and R&B influences over a minimalist beat and serves as a personal and artistic statement from Doechii near the end of the year. The track was issued without prior announcement and marks the first collaboration between Doechii and SZA since their 2022 remix of “Persuasive.” It was released as part of Doechii’s creative run called Swamp Sessions, a series in which she wrote and recorded songs in about an hour with accompanying visuals; “Girl, Get Up” was identified as the final entry in that series. .
