- "Babygirl" is the 8th track on Charli XCX's third mixtape Number 1 Angel. It features british singer Uffie. Charli wrote the song in 2015 in Sweden, on a writing camp with John Mill, MNDR and Sarah Hudson, and recorded a demo for the song. After Charli and Uffie met in a house party in 2017, they stayed in touch and Charli sent her the song so she can send her verse back. “Babygirl” is Charli entertaining a sexually-charged fantasy. Speaking directly to the listener, she implicates them in her plans by continually referring to “you” and “us.” Guest vocalist Uffie adds to this illusion with her verse. .
