From Teen Jesus in Brisbane to Baker Boy in Sydney, tonight's offering something special for every music lover across the country.
Thursday nights don't have to be quiet nights, and tonight's lineup proves exactly that. From coast to coast, Australia's venues are serving up an absolutely stellar selection of live music that'll make you forget it's a school night.
Melbourne's Diverse Offerings
Melbourne punters are spoilt for choice tonight. Hellions are bringing their metalcore mayhem to Max Watts, promising the kind of high-energy performance that'll leave your ears ringing until Friday. For something completely different, Peter Mcilwain's intimate set at Sooki Lounge offers a more contemplative evening, while Rachael Fahim's folk-tinged melodies at Northcote Social Club provide the perfect mid-week musical therapy.
Sydney's Star-Studded Night
Sydney's bringing the heat with some serious star power. Baker Boy's appearance at Dee Why RSL Club is the night's biggest drawcard – the Yolŋu rapper's infectious energy and genre-blending prowess make this an unmissable experience. Meanwhile, Sina Bathaie's 'White Lotus World' show at Liberty Hall promises something beautifully unique, and extreme metal fans should head to Crowbar for Finnish grindcore legends Rotten Sound.

Brisbane's Rising Stars
Brisbane's showcase tonight belongs to Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers at The Princess Theatre. This Canberra quartet has been making serious waves with their grunge-influenced sound, and tonight's performance is your chance to catch them before they inevitably explode nationwide. Former Little Birdy frontwoman Katy Steele is also gracing Lefty's Music Hall with her powerful vocals and seasoned stage presence.
Beyond the Big Cities
Regional venues are holding their own tonight. William Crighton's storytelling prowess takes centre stage at Theatre Royal Castlemaine, while up north, Kevin Bloody Wilson's cheeky comedy-music hybrid hits Townsville's Mansfield Arena for what's guaranteed to be an adults-only riot.
Whether you're after crushing riffs, heartfelt ballads, or something completely left-field, tonight's offerings span every genre and mood. These mid-week gigs often deliver the most intimate, memorable experiences – smaller crowds, more connection, and artists who are just as excited to be there as you are.
