The hip-hop festival's Sydney debut has shattered Australian festival sales records, selling all tickets in just 12 minutes during this morning's general release.
Rolling Loud Australia 2026 has made history this morning, selling out its inaugural Sydney event in a record-breaking 12 minutes during general public sales, making it the fastest-selling hip-hop festival in Australian history.
The festival, set to take place at Sydney Olympic Park on 7 March 2026, saw unprecedented demand with over 200,000 fans queuing online for the limited 50,000 tickets when sales opened at 9am AEDT.
"We've never seen anything like this in the Australian market," said Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif. "The demand has been absolutely insane – we crashed three different ticketing platforms in the first five minutes."
The festival's lineup, headlined by Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, and local hero The Kid LAROI, represents the biggest hip-hop event ever staged in Australia. The sellout follows last week's pre-sale, which also broke records by moving 30,000 tickets in under six minutes.

Industry Reacts to Historic Sales
Live Performance Australia CEO Evelyn Richardson described the sales figures as "extraordinary validation of Australia's appetite for major international acts."
"This demonstrates the incredible pent-up demand for premium live music experiences," Richardson told musick.com.au. "It's a watershed moment for the Australian festival circuit."
The festival's success comes as Australia's live music sector continues its strongest recovery period since 2019, with venue capacity and ticket sales reaching pre-pandemic levels across all major markets.
Rolling Loud organisers have hinted at expanding to Melbourne and Brisbane for 2027, with venue negotiations already underway following today's unprecedented response.
