Phil Jamieson is gearing up for one of his most ambitious solo ventures yet. The Grinspoon frontman and guitarist is launching an extensive 44-date national tour across Australia in 2026, marking a significant moment as he embarks on fresh creative territory.
The tour, titled PJ AIR, will see Jamieson traverse the country from June through September, touching down in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The journey will take in an eclectic mix of venues ranging from intimate local pubs and breweries to theatres, putting the spotlight back on grassroots music venues that have long formed the backbone of Australia's live music culture.
The timing coincides with the release of Jamieson's new single 'Weekends', which offers a glimpse into his forthcoming second solo album '10Charlie'. Due for release on 14 August, the album represents another step forward in his solo career alongside his ongoing work with Grinspoon.

Speaking about the track, Jamieson described 'Weekends' as both a destination and a state of mind—a place where people can gather regardless of the day of the week. "It's a restaurant, bar, coffee shop, diner," he explained. "You can go to weekends on a Monday. It's a place to agree or disagree." The song itself centres on themes of intimacy and hope, underpinned by engaging guitar work that showcases Jamieson's signature sound.
For fans looking to secure their spot on this ambitious adventure, pre-saves for '10Charlie' are now available. With 44 shows planned across the country, the PJ AIR tour promises to deliver something special to audiences nationwide, celebrating the venues and communities that have supported Australian live music for decades.
