Irish singer-songwriter CMAT has opened up about the surprising appearance of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver in her latest music video, revealing the collaboration came completely out of the blue.
Speaking to NME, CMAT explained that she had no involvement in casting the TV personality, with her record label presenting her with the accomplished fact. "My label said, 'We have him' and I was like 'Fuck,'" she recalled of the moment she learned Oliver would feature in the clip.
Despite her initial shock at the unexpected pairing, CMAT has come to appreciate Oliver's contribution to the project, describing him as an "angel" for his participation in the video.
