Byron Bay Bluesfest has shattered its own sales records, with weekend passes for the 2026 edition selling out in just 1 hour and 47 minutes during today's exclusive pre-sale window – marking the fastest sellout in the festival's 35-year history.
The unprecedented demand crashed the festival's ticketing platform multiple times as over 100,000 music fans simultaneously attempted to secure passes for the April 2-6 event on the NSW North Coast.
Record-Breaking Numbers
Festival director Peter Noble confirmed that this year's pre-sale response exceeded all expectations, with traffic to the ticketing site reaching five times the previous record set in 2019.

"We knew there was pent-up demand, but nothing prepared us for this morning's response. The phone hasn't stopped ringing with disappointed fans asking if we're adding extra days," Noble said.
The sellout comes ahead of the festival's full lineup announcement, scheduled for next week, with only headliners and a handful of acts currently confirmed.
