About this event
Flautist Jonathan Henderson and pianist Alex Raineri present an evening mixing classical staples with new work from living Australian composers. The bill spans Sally Whitwell's train-window reverie Road Trip, Beethoven's lyrical Serenade for flute and piano, Adelaide composer Anne Cawrse's dreamlike as flower as fire, Bartók's Hungarian folk Suite paysanne hongroise, and Henderson's own arrangement of Edwin Grasse's Waves at Play. A chamber recital built around repertoire that celebrates both virtuosity and storytelling.
