Sunset Fest Brisbane

Sunset Fest is a touring tribute-band festival aimed squarely at punters who miss Big Day Out, Soundwave and Homebake — a full night of 90s and 2000s rock anthems played by tribute acts. Its first Brisbane edition lands at The Triffid in Newstead on Saturday 3 October 2026, doors 5pm, 18+. The bill covers the era's big guns: Unlimited Peppers (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Rage Rebellion (Rage Against the Machine), Everlong (Foo Fighters), Pretty Fly (The Offspring), Groom's Bride (Paramore) and Awake (Live).

Sunset Fest started in Western Australia, where it has run city and regional editions — including Sunset Fest South at Port Beach Brewery in North Fremantle and Sunset Fest on the Green at Pinjarra, south of Perth.

It has since spread east: an Adelaide edition debuted in November 2025 and returned in March 2026, with another Adelaide date locked for November 2026. The October 2026 Triffid show marks the festival's Brisbane debut.
