SCREAMFEST Wollongong - Halloween Festival

SCREAMFEST bills itself as Australia's biggest Halloween festival, run by Sydney independent promoter iRock Entertainment. On Saturday 31 October 2026 it lands in Wollongong for the first time, taking over UOW UniBar with a 3,000-capacity, 18+ night — one of three simultaneous editions alongside Manning Bar in Sydney (6,000) and the University of Newcastle (2,000), 11,000 tickets all up. The format is four themed stages — Cemetery, Circus, Bunker and the new Los Muertos — with 50-plus DJs, plus carnival games, scary-oke, photo booths and food stalls.

Screamfest grew out of a Sydney event: the 2025 edition sold out at 4,000 tickets, and off the back of that demand iRock Entertainment expanded to three cities for 2026, more than doubling total capacity. The Wollongong UniBar show is the festival's first outing in the Illawarra.
