Oktoberfest in the Gardens - Sydney

Oktoberfest in the Gardens is Sydney's edition of the national franchise that calls itself Australia's biggest Oktoberfest celebration, taking over The Domain on Saturday 31 October 2026 from 1pm to 9pm. The format is the same city to city: big beer halls with German beers, wines and cider, German and local food stalls, oompah bands and DJs across multiple stages, roving performers, sideshow alley, a silent disco and competitions. VIP passes add a private bar, dedicated seating and weather cover. The Domain's central parkland makes it one of the franchise's biggest sites. Tickets run through Moshtix.

Sydney was among the franchise's first expansion cities — by 2017 the event ran across Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, with the Adelaide original then in its seventh year, dating the franchise to the early 2010s. By 2026 the map also covers Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Canberra and Newcastle.
