Oktoberfest in the Gardens - Adelaide

Oktoberfest in the Gardens is Adelaide's stop on the national franchise that bills itself as Australia's biggest Oktoberfest celebration. The 2026 edition takes over Pinky Flat on the banks of the Torrens, opposite Adelaide Oval, on Saturday 3 October from 1pm to 9pm. Expect big beer halls pouring German beers, wines and cider, German and local food stalls, oompah bands and DJs across multiple stages, roving performers, sideshow alley, a silent disco and stein-holding-style competitions. The franchise has been running since the early 2010s — by 2017 the Adelaide event was in its seventh year, alongside sister editions in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. It has since spread further, with the 2026 calendar also taking in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Canberra and Newcastle, each city getting the same one-day park-takeover format.
