Handpicked Festival

Handpicked Festival is a one-day music and wine event held on the lawns of Lake Breeze Wines at 319 Step Road, Langhorne Creek, about an hour from Adelaide. It's the family-run winery's own festival — picnic rugs under the gums, wine poured by the people who grew it, food vendors, and a bill that mixes national headliners with local acts. Drawing over 6,000 punters a year, it has become the Fleurieu region's flagship destination festival, and the 14 November 2026 edition is billed as its "Decade of Magic" tenth anniversary.

Handpicked began in 2014 as a small backyard concert at Lake Breeze, an idea hatched around the family's kitchen table. The winery itself sits on land the family has farmed since the 1850s, with wine made under the Lake Breeze label since 1987.

From those backyard beginnings it grew into an annual fixture on the Langhorne Creek calendar, settling into its current shape: a single Saturday each November, gates from early afternoon, and crowds of more than 6,000.

The 2026 edition on 14 November marks the festival's tenth-anniversary "Decade of Magic" celebration, with the lineup kept under wraps until closer to the date.
