Good Things Festival 2026

Fri 4 Dec 2026 – Sun 6 Dec 2026 · Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane

About Good Things Festival

Good Things is Australia's big December rock, punk and heavy-music festival, a three-date east-coast run built to fill the hole Soundwave left when it collapsed in 2015. Launched in 2018 by independent promoter Destroy All Lines, it plays Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Sydney Showground and Brisbane Showgrounds on consecutive days each December. The 2026 run — 4, 5 and 6 December, all dates 16-plus — is headed by Limp Bizkit, Simple Plan and Spiritbox, with Polaris, The All-American Rejects, Bad Religion and Alexisonfire in support.

History

Destroy All Lines, a promoter operating since 2003, launched Good Things in 2018 with a team drawn from Australia's festival old guard — general manager Chris O'Brien ran Soundwave from its 2007 start.

Pre-pandemic editions hosted The Offspring, Babymetal, Parkway Drive and Bullet for My Valentine. Since returning in 2022 the festival has pulled headliners including Bring Me the Horizon, Deftones, Fall Out Boy and Limp Bizkit.

While other festivals folded through 2024's industry crunch, the promoter publicly "guaranteed" the 2025 edition would go ahead — and it did, with 2026 dates locked in after.

Notable Moments

Good Things has become the de facto successor to Soundwave in the Australian heavy-music calendar, and its survival through the 2024–25 festival crisis — while Splendour, Groovin the Moo and others fell over — is a large part of its current standing.
