Beyond the Valley

Beyond the Valley is Victoria's flagship New Year's camping festival, held over four days across the NYE turn at Barunah Plains, a historic sheep-station property near Hesse, about 40 minutes west of Geelong. Running annually since 2014, BTV leans pop, electronic and hip-hop, pitching itself at the younger end of the camping-festival market with big international headliners alongside Australian acts. The site's natural amphitheatre holds the main stage, with punters camping on the plains around it. The 2026–27 edition is confirmed for 28 December to 1 January.

Beyond the Valley started on Phillip Island in December 2014, then settled at Lardner Park near Warragul in Gippsland from 2015 to 2019.

The 2020 edition was scrapped in the pandemic, and 2021 ran as a scaled-down event at Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl. In 2022 the festival moved west to Barunah Plains, where it has stayed since.

Its tenth-anniversary edition featured Dom Dolla, Kid Cudi and Addison Rae on the bill.
